September threw a few speed bumps our way; but it was certainly better than last month was. Here's what we were up to...
Someone Call the Fire Depointment!
Athennia had to perform her first firing as a newly-minted manager. Then she got her sister into rehab under the wire. And Taylor came down to visit; so we celebrated Athennia's birthday a few days early so that Taylor could join us. But if you're wondering what a fire depointment is, you can read the whole story and you still won't know! Only Hannah knows for sure. (Also, the floor is Wawa; so be careful out there 😉)
Gianni on the Spot
Riley went to the Netflix House with Taaro and his parents. Kevin and Athennia joined Catherine, Ron, Kelly, Steve, and the girls for dinner at Gianni's. Athennia misplaced her phone at Wal-Mart, but everything worked out for the best... and then some. We celebrated Ron's birthday. And Taylor decided to come back for another visit :)
Power Trip
In celebration of autumn, Kevin did some long-overdue spring cleaning on his computer and at Joe's house. Riley aced her first kickboxing exam and earned her first belt! Ahlina finally got herself fired from the dog-grooming shop, giving Taylor some breathing room. We had some scrumptious homemade soup at Catherine and Ron's house. The electricity was working absolutely flawlessly; so PECO came out and messed with it. Our least favorite neighbor moved out unexpectedly. Aaaand we have a new cat. (Kind of. There's an asterisk on that statement; but, either way, you get 30% more bonus cat pics this month 😍)
So, uh, yeah. That's September.
We still a few things in flux; but it looks like Athennia's sister Sandy is headed out of rehab and into a halfway house tomorrow, and Taylor's moving back into our apartment this weekend. (As much as she loves her job up there, living out of a backpack and sleeping on an air mattress at your workplace isn't really all that fun to do long-term.)
Riley is seriously killing it in kickboxing, too; so if you have a bully that you just can't shake, or if you just wish someone would throat-chop that obnoxious guy who talks incessantly about the weather and always seems to be at the water-cooler at the same time as you, feel free to shoot us a text and we'll send Riley out for a very reasonable fee :)
