Liv's 2nd Birthday Party!
Rainbows and unicorns, matte pepperoni, and battles with the state thumb-war champ!
Kevin's niece Olivia is turning two later this week, so Kelly and Steve threw her a party at Kevin and Kelly's parents' house!
We jokingly call Liv "Riley's biggest fan" because she's obsessed with seeing Riley or even hearing her name. And sure enough, today was no different :)

There were lots of munchies, and Kevin wants me to make sure I document his fascination with the pepperoni:
Look at this: Kelly managed to get matte pepperoni. Pepperoni usually just comes glossy, but she found a matte variety.

Everyone wanted to hold the birthday girl!

But Liv also had to make sure all her guests were having fun. First she played with Cole:

Then she checked in with Crawford to see if he wanted to use her toys to invent a high octane air hockey clone:

Then she felt Sue needed some doughnuts. And of course she wanted to sit on Pop's lap:

And then it was time to open presents!

Steve was especially fond of one particular item:

And this was a birthday party, so of course there was cake!
Liv was absolutely awe struck when Kelly presented her with flaming carbs:

Kevin asked me to get a picture of him with his sister.
Hey Kel, remember the time you threw that party with matte pepperoni?

I got a picture with Kevin's Aunt Sue because I think she's hilarious and awesome. Then I photobombed (photomommed?) my daughter with some truth and peace:

Of course we had to get some Hannah time in too (after her Daddy finished giving her a bottle):

Then Crawford challenged everyone to a thumb war.
Crawford beat Riley hands down (according to him at least), so Kevin decided the punishment was a head full of static electricity.
But that backfired. As Kevin put it:
What the heck, Riley! Your molerat pumpkin hair doesn't even hold a charge.

And earlier this evening, Kelly sent us this picture of Liv playing with the magnetic blocks we got her:

Kelly said:
She hasn't learned yet that they really stick together but she does LOVE magnets. She's playing with them on her magnet board :)
That works for us!
