August 2023 Newsletter
Hey all,
Another month has come to an end—and it was kind of a slow one, at least for us. (All this property-hunting and house-planning sure does eat up the majority of our free time.)
We still had a few tiny adventures and some good times spent with family and friends this past month though :)
August Augmentation
We received some long-awaited good news from our realtor and our home-builder at the beginning of the month, and continued packing the majority of our apartment and taking things down to Spartan-level conditions. Also, we went for a leisurely neighborhood walk with Kelly, Steve, and Olivia.
A Joker in the Pack
We accidentally became master stromboli-makers; Hardhat and Ditz didn't let us join The Alliance; and Kevin still can't stand them or pretty much any of our other neighbors—not even the legendary Magic Mike.
1 Party, 2 Parents, 3 Parcels, 4 Weeks in Putz-town
We went to Athennia's best friend's birthday party, visited Kevin's parents upon their return from vacation, and harvested 6,500 pounds of tomatoes. Kevin met one of our hopefully soon-to-be new neighbors, and then he got lowercased by capital-Seth.
Too Cool [be]for[e] School
We invited Athennia's cousin Danny and his family over to swim, then we swam again the next day with Kevin's cousins Angie, Alexis, Natalie, and Kayla. Riley started seventh grade, Taylor started her senior year, and the universe decided to throw a wrench into our property/house/move plans. PLUS, bonus cat pics!
That's it for August. We're going to do our best to make September a bit more eventful; but, at the very least, hopefully we'll have some good news on the property/house/move front.
