February 2024 Newsletter
Hey all,
February has come and gone, along with all the usual festivities...
We checked to see if we saw our shadows, we exchanged valentines, we said "whoopedy-doo" on President's Day, and we took a leap on Leap Day.
It later occurred to us that we did forget to thank our mail carrier this month; so, shame on us for that. (Then again, that guy could just start bringing us big fat checks from Nigerian princes from time to time, instead of the same old junk mail and utility bills; and perhaps we'd be more likely to remember him going forward.)
Anyway, here are the February chapters of book #2024 of our lives:
It Wasn't a Pony; Or, Was It?
Kevin turned 39 and got to be King for a day... until he abdicated the throne. Did he get a pony though? We may never know.
Not Quite Valentime Yet
Peanuts, and arson, and doughnuts! Oh my! Oh, and an early Valentine's Day with Kevin's family.
Putting the 'AI' in 'V[A]lent[I]ne's Day'
You know it's artificial. But, is it intelligent? We decided to find out.
Playin' Fast and Loose in the Hackers' Nest
An intro to hardware hacking, an algebra refresher, strange things afoot at the DMV, and lots of fast food.
21 Gun Salud!
Kevin's cousin JD turned 21, and we were there to celebrate. Also more pictures of trains and cats than anyone could ever want. (Not mixed together though—that would just be cruel.)
Finally, a moment of silence for Kevin's childhood best friend Kunal's little sister Hetal—who was born on Leap Day of 1988, and is thus just now turning nine. (It's hard to imagine that she'll be driving in just a few more decades!)
