January 2023 Newsletter
Hey everyone!
Hopefully your 2023 is going well so far. We had a pretty decent January ourselves—even if it feels in hindsight like we spent half of it shopping at Michaels :D
The highlights of the month were Riley celebrating her 13th birthday, Taylor making her first ever appearance on the blog, and Kevin holding his infant niece for the first time (now that he's mostly convinced he won't accidentally "break" her somehow).
So, without further ado, here's January...
It Takes a Child to Raze a Village

We returned to Peddler's Village on New Year's Day, celebrated Riley's birthday a week later, and encountered odd pockets of chaos everywhere we went the moment Riley became a teenager. (Also, we provide a house tour, eat nasty jelly beans, and visit the moon.)
Busy as a Bee!

We visited Kevin's family, surprised Riley with a second birthday cake, tackled a home decor project, and caught up with some friends.
Marco Polo, Michael Glassbender, and Linus Torvalds...

We spent more time with Kevin's family, Kevin held Hannah for the first time, we embarked on a road trip to nowhere, we took on another (smaller, but more expensive) home decor project, and Kevin burned a day hacking a computer. (Spoiler alert: It was his own.)
Family, Feud... and a Standoffish Mexican?

Taylor finally came over to spend time with the family and see our revamped apartment. We're feuding with our crappy downstairs neighbors. And we resolve to start living la vida loca when we find some Mexican kid (and a bunch of cats) in our home :)
So, that does it for January! We'll see you next month with Kevin's birthday, Valentine's Day, and who knows what else?
Cheers for now,
Kevin & Athennia & Riley & Taylor
