Hello all,
We hope everybody is doing well. We're doing pretty great here: Riley celebrated her 15th birthday at the beginning of the month, and Kevin is just a few hours away from the big 4-0!
Here's the scoop for this past month...
Worst Quinceañera Ever!
Riley had an early birthday party at her grandparents' that was either awesome or terrible, depending on which dentist you ask. Athennia and Kevin had a tense Cold War over the temperature of their bedroom. And Kevin received an unexpected letter from a long-lost cousin.
The Quinceañera Continues
The partying continued over dinner with Riley's boyfriend and his mom. The father of the Linux kernel personally reached out to try to get Athennia to use her computer more. The six to eight inches of snow we were promised turned out to be more like six to eight millimeters. And Kevin's estranged Uncle Ralph passed away, just a few weeks before his 62nd birthday.

Kevin put together a write-up to remember the good times he and his uncle shared before Ralph allowed his unfortunate second wife to completely torpedo their relationship.
Will versus Won't
Kevin and his sister found out that they're... in Ralph's will and not in Ralph's will at the same time, through a technicality of Arizona law. (And we're moderately sure that the lawyers are getting $350 an hour to play Word '97 Pinball.) Riley had another date with Taaro, but not with Kassie. And the cats made themselves extraordinarily photogenic and oddly conducive to musical parody this month; so, enjoy these cat pics captioned with song lyrics!
