July 2023 Newsletter
Hi everyone,
Hopefully everyone had a wonderful July!
And here's the scoop on ours...
A Roy of Sunshine
We celebrated Kevin's Uncle Roy's 75th birthday and harvested our garlic after patiently waiting since back in October.
Froth of July
We swam in the rain and celebrated the Fourth with Kevin's family, Riley met Kevin's friend Lee, and we checked out a local carnival with Kelly, Steve, and Olivia :)
A Dog Day Afternoon, Then 13 More
After two semi-uneventful weeks, we celebrated Kelly's birthday and got approved for a mortgage through the Department of Agriculture's "rural development" program!
Land of Bilk and Money
Kevin and Athennia took a road trip to do some "boots on the ground" research on a handful of properties we're considering. Only one was haunted ;)
Peanut Butter and July
We started jumping through the hoops of trying to buy a house... and, as expected, the goalposts immediately started moving. Also, it seems we ate dinner out about 57 times, and snapped twice that many cat pics.
At this point, summer's about halfway over and Kevin and Riley are deluding themselves into thinking the weather will start to cool off in a few weeks!
But, Riley and Taylor have a month of freedom left before they go back to school—and the clock is officially ticking on our search for the perfect property—so, the weeks ahead are sure to be exciting (or, at the very least, hectic).
