May 2024 Newsletter
Hello everyone,
May was a crazy, hectic month from hell that we're all happy to see go. Lots of stress. Lots of headaches. But as always, some bright points as well—and we can breathe easy knowing that the girls have mere hours left of the school year at this point.
We're very much looking forward to June: Taylor will be graduating high school and moving up to Connecticut as she has wanted to do for several years now. The rest of us will be continuing our search for a house. And Riley said... something about treating Athennia and Kevin to a steak dinner one of these nights?
But until then, here are last month's misadventures...
Greener Pastures? Nope.
A noisy week in our noisy locale. But after a celebrity sighting at the garden center, we go a little bit green and plant some plants.
Expectation versus Reality
Nothing goes as planned. But Athennia gets a well-deserved raise; Riley manages a pizzeria; Athennia and Taylor go on a road trip; Kevin calls the cops; a realtor misrepresents a house; and mothers get a day.
Our 1-Year Anniversary
Amidst a solid week of arguing with each other (in the middle of a stressful month of hardly seeing eye to eye on anything) we celebrate our one-year anniversary at the place where it all began.
Clean Springing
Kevin and Athennia head to Dark Hollow for some fresh air. Taylor makes some headway on her planned move up to Connecticut. And then she finds out that her prom dress is an absolute atrocity, with just a few days to rectify it!
Since we're getting this newsletter out a few days late, we're happy to be able to report that Taylor and Athennia did manage to find a backup dress and get prom back on track. Hopefully the rest of her plans will follow suit.
Kevin and Athennia have also been doing much better over the past few days; so we're sure we'll have much more positive news to report, this time next month :)
