May 2026 Newsletter

We hope this newsletter finds you well!
We all had a pretty fantastic month until the last few days when we received sad news about Athennia's mom's health. So, we're navigating that now, but we're doing well otherwise.
Here's what happened in May...
The Plot Sickens
The first week of May seemed like just a parade of increasingly-stupid events. But Kevin's Aunt Jill and Uncle Terry also came to visit; Riley's school got hacked; Athennia had to battle a hornet; and Kevin documented the string of asinine goings-on at the apartment.
The Week in Birds
We celebrated Mother's Day alongside Kelly and Catherine. Ron dropped a new hip-hop track. Liv and Hannah got grills. And, it wasn't Thanksgiving; but we had a bird in the oven anyway.
The Storm before the Calm
Weather happened, Riley's friend Kassie gave her the flu, Kevin finally got around to planting this year's garden, and Athennia found out that Lou is in hospice; so Taylor and Ahlina made an unplanned trip down to see her. Plus, cat pics.
Outta Line? Get inLine!
Kevin spent the entire month coding an outlining app that he desperately wanted but didn't seem to exist yet. This is a far quicker-and-dirtier write-up of it than it otherwise would have been in different circumstances; but it's enough to convey the functionality of it.
Please keep Lou in your prayers if that's your thing; and thank you to those of you who have already reached out with sympathies well-wishes.
