Hello all,
We trust that everyone has survived the fall back portion of daylight savings time. And since you've got an extra hour on your hands today, here are some hot-off-the-press tales of our adventures for you ;)
Putting the Ain't in Maintenance
Our colorful assortment of neighbors moved out, moved in, strapped on their hernia belts to take out their garbage, gave themselves Game of Thrones-style titles, became action-movie stars, and even got sued by the landlord. (Jeez, and all we did was finally have our leaky kitchen sink faucet replaced.)
Farmily Reunion!
We ducked a nor'easter to drive out to Gettysburg and visit Kevin's dad's side of the family, spent the afternoon on Aunt Jill and Uncle Terry's farm, got to have dinner with just about everybody, and navigated the minefield of stupidity and skulduggery that naturally accompany four hours spent on the turnpike.
Homesteading and Cupcakes
We had just a bit of fresh produce to process. Then Taylor and Ahlina came to visit for Taylor's 21st birthday. And Hannah turned three!
Ready, Willing, and Tables
With a combined furniture-building IQ of about 11 between the two of them, Kevin and his friend Joe fumbled their way through their first project: A set of matching steampunk end tables.
The Carrot and the Stick
A government agent went on a fishing expedition through every room of our apartment, Bill Gates [may have] grafitti'ed a box truck, Athennia started pulling 11-hour days and got locked in at work, Riley and Taaro had a date, we shut down the garden for the winter, and Steve turned 40.
A Hella Mean Halloween
We spent a month in the Chic-fil-A drive-thru, then went outside during a shelter-in-place order. Riley and Kassie went to a haunted house together. And Harley Quinn, Elsa, and a mummy went trick-or-treating together. Plus bonus cat pics—with big news from Odin, who has met his future bride.
Hope that's enough to get a few smiles out of you! And we'll see you all again next month—many of you in person!
