November 2022 Newsletter
Hi all!
We're a day late on getting this one out, because it's been a busy last two weeks...
We did a lot this month: two Thanksgiving dinners, a birthday party, a handful of local outings, and perhaps a few too many visits to Qdoba.
But, the highlight of our November is that we merged our households so we can become closer as a family and continue to work toward our goals for the future :)
That said, here are this month's adventures...
Journeys in the Shadowlands
We took Riley to the remnants of the Oxford Valley Mall (which is a place that used to matter in the nineties and the early aughts). Then we returned to Dark Hollow Park, had tacos with Kevin's family, and went to a playground after hours while the park was closed! (Spoiler alert: We didn't die.)
0Mbps and Turkey Day Pre-Gaming
Our internet went out for more than five days between the two of us (for no reason at all). Then we celebrated an early Thanksgiving with Athennia's extended family.
Liv's 2nd Birthday Party!
We celebrated Kevin's niece Olivia's second birthday! There was matte pepperoni (yes, that's integral to the plot), and Crawford may or may not have cheated during the thumb-war tournament.
Hurry Up and Wait...
We began the slow but steady process of moving Kevin's stuff into Athennia's apartment, celebrated the one-year "anniversary" of Kevin's first message to Athennia, set up a date night for Lucky and Penny to get to know each other, checked out a lackluster pizzeria, and found a place where you can buy just a left elephant (should the need ever arise).
A Giving of Thanks
We spent Thanksgiving Day with Kevin's extended family. Riley got to hang out with Ava again and also bonded with Kevin's cousin Alexis :)
Bust a Move!
"Turn a 9-foot van into a 7-foot van with this one weird trick!"
We finished up the move with some help from Kelly and Steve, and also opened some early Christmas presents from them :)
P.S. Want to know what kind of weirdo imagines a Rudolph hybrid that's part reindeer, part tractor trailer, and has 10 hooves?!
And, that brings November to a close...
We're super excited to spend the holiday season together as a family, and we wish all our friends and loved ones an early Merry Christmas as well :)
